What is cPanel:
cPanel is a web hosting control panel (software that facilitates the management of a web hosting server) developed by cPanel, L.L.C., an American corporation. The software provides a graphical interface (GUI) and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site to the website owner or the “end-user“. cPanel has two interfaces, a user interface called cPanel and a server management interface called Web Host Manager (WHM). This combination allows users to manage their website and supplies hosting providers with tools to manage the server. cPanel allows you to publish websites, manage domains, organize web files, create email accounts, and more.
What cPanel does:
1: File manager = cPanel File Manager gives you useful options to quickly manage your files within the cPanel interface. It’s easy to use and it removes the hassles of using FTP. You can create, upload, modify, or remove files from this interface.
2: Directory privacy = This interface allows you to protect specific directories in your cPanel account’s files.
3: Disk usage = disk usage page enables you to see how much disk space your account’s directories and databases are occupying.
4: FTP account = An FTP account is used for uploading and managing files on your website
5: Backup Wizard = Wizard interface allows you to back up all or part of your website, or to restore it from the most recent backup file
6: MySQL database = This interface allows you to create and manage the existing MySQL databases. … If you are creating a PHP based application or any application that uses a database, then you will need to create a database and a database user to access this database
7: Addon domains =. Addon domains allow you to control multiple domains from a single account
8: email accounts =. You can create and manage email accounts of your domain through this interface
9: subdomains = This interface allows you to create and manage subdomains for your cPanel account.
10: Remote MySQL = This feature allows remote hosts (servers) to access MySQL® databases on your account
To log in cPanel you have to follow some basic steps
1: You can also login to the cPanel directly. just type http://your_domain.com/cPanel and login with your cPanel with your domain name
2: Enter your cPanel username in the Username text box.
3: Enter your password in the Password text box.
4: Click login
After following these steps you have successfully login your cPanel with your domain name
