How to Import your MYSQL Database on cPanel:

MYSQL Database: MYSQL is an open-source relational database management system. It is a freely available open source relational Database management system (RDBMS) that uses structured query language (SQL). SQL is the most popular language for adding, accessing and managing content in a Database. It is most noted for its quick processing, proven reliability, ease and flexibility of use.

How can I import a Database?

There are multiple ways by which you can import the contents of MYSQL database. This article will cover the one method that can be done directly with the tools on our servers.

Importing Database via phpMy Admin:

 

Here are the simple basics steps given to below import the Database by using phpMy Admin.

 

Step-1: Login to your cPanel with username and password.

Step-2: Go to the database section under the files and click on phpMyAdmin.

Step-3: If the database does not exist, please created a database first, a user, and give the user full privileges to the database through the MYSQL Databases. Note the username and password.

Step-4: Then after inside the phpMyAdmin, Click the new database name from the left-hand menu that you want to import.

Step-5: Select the Database that you want to import and click on the import tab top of the phpMyAdmin window.

Step-6: Browse for the SQl file on your computer using the choose file button.

Step-7: Scroll down and click to Go button.

Step-8: A confirmation prompt will appear on the top page notifying you about the successful import.

After following these steps you have successfully import the MYSQL database in cPanel.
